In a few years, Wallimage’s investment line in Format Pilots has allowed us to develop an extremely constructive relationship with producers specialized in the television sector. Recently Wallimage had the pleasure of seeing one of the pilots financed by the Walloon fund successfully broadcast on the private channel.
Unfortunately, this example remains an isolated case and we think that at this stage, we must reopen the reflection with the broadcasters in the first place to try to transform more often the trials into successes, but also with all the professionals of the sector.
A new Walloon Government has just been set up and it is essential for us to take a break in order to better restart our action in 2020 by obtaining the support of our Minister of supervision, Mr Willy Borsus, on a strategy which would make our Format Pilots line move to the next level.
As a result, the call for projects scheduled for November 4 is cancelled. All ongoing projects are of course maintained and a rapid realization of these pilots is hoped for in the weeks and months to come.
A new working methodology more adapted to the current reality of the changing audiovisual sector and aiming at more efficiency will be submitted to the producers before the January resumption.
