Gino(José Garcia), who has been living in Brussels for twenty years, runs a third-rate pizzeria bought with the savings of his wife Simone(Anna Mouglalis). His dreary daily life, made up mainly of family disputes with his two children Marco and Maria, is upset by the news of the imminent death of his uncle from Italy, a fearsome “bandit of honor” made a billionaire by his illicit activities.
Gino is promised a large share of the inheritance. The problem is that in order to get it, Gino has to prove to his uncle that he has indeed become, as he told him, a fearsome godfather ruling all the pizzerias in Paris. Gino then commissions a fourth-rate director to make a documentary about him and his family that is supposed to portray them as big-time hoodlums.
Alas, the shooting does not go quite as planned, his family rebels, the crew is recalcitrant to the orders of Gino who tends to take himself for his character and when a real mafioso, convinced that he is dealing with a new competitor interferes, it is panic.
