On January 1, 1993, during the transition to Europe, two customs officers, one Belgian, the other French, learned that their small fixed customs post located in the commune of Courquain France and Koorkin Belgium would disappear. Anti-French from father to son, the Belgian customs officer Ruben Vandervoorde is forced to inaugurate the first mixed French-Belgian flying customs brigade.
