Walloon cinema, big and true!

Walloon cinema, big and true!

Wallimage at the FIFF for a day dedicated to Walloon audiovisual production

And yet the audiovisual industry in tiny Wallonia is known the world over! Thanks to its talents, and of course its industry.

Always attentive to the needs of the sector, Wallimage wanted to devote this first edition to two concerns of the sector: employment and sustainability.

9:30am - 12:30pm: Professional speed dating

Co-organized with Amplo/Crewbooking, and in partnership with Mediarte and Twist, we offer companies in the audiovisual sector the chance to meet young talent looking for a new challenge. This event is specially dedicated to the turning professions .

A speed dating event dedicated to technical professions (VFX, animation, etc.) will be held on October 27, as part of the KIKK festival.

4:30 pm - 8 pm: Meeting and networking on environmental issues and financing opportunities

As a company, minimizing our environmental impact is our social responsibility! This meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss the solutions available to the audiovisual sector, as well as to hear our colleagues from WALLONIE ENTREPRENDRE present the financing and support options available for these specific investments.

These presentations will be followed by a cocktail reception.

We are aware that this information was initially intended for our portfolio companies, but the meeting and networking areopen to any companies in the sector who wish to attend.

The film

8:30 pm: Screening of the film "Les poings serrés" by Vivian Goffette, co-financed by Wallimage

No film without industry, and no festival without film!

Join us in discovering Vivian Goffette’s “Les poings serrés”, starring Laurent Capelluto, Mila De Mol and Lucie Debay. Produced by Dragon Films, with support from Wallimage.

Lucien – aged 11 – lives in seclusion with his mother Cécile and older brother in a village in the Ardennes. He’s a secretive boy who avoids contact as much as possible. When his grandmother died, his father was granted leave to attend the funeral. Seeing his father in mourning, handcuffed and protected from popular fury by an impressive police deployment hurts Lucien. Against the advice of his family, Lucien decides to see his father again. At the risk of losing everything.
