Project Casper: the winners are in!

  • 20.12.2010

In April, helped by Philippe Moins (Anima Festival Director – Belgium), René Broca (Consultant – France) and Jan Van Rijsselberghe (Creative Director Animator – Belgium), the specialists from all three funds selected six projects, each receiving the sum of €25,000 to develop the bible of their series and a provisional budget for their pilot.

Last week, helped by Catherine Alvaresse (Senior VP Sales & Coproductions @ Europe Image International – France), Philippe Jacot (Head of Coproductions @ EuroVision TV – Switzerland) and Per Nielsen (Script Doctor @ Brainstorm – Sweden), the 3 funds finally chose between the six projects selected during round one, picking three projects (one per region) which will receive a supplemental €125,000 to shoot their pilot.

The winners are:
Bo’s Bazaar by Jan Bultheel, produced by Vivi Film, Nozon and Virtuo/ Art’fx
Toc-Toc by Xavier Steenman, produced by Nexus Factory, Creative Conspirancy and Planetnemo
Tuktulik by Fabienne Giezendanner, produced by Studio Redfrog, Araneo and Walking The Dog.

Within the framework of the next Anima festival, a professional meeting will be organised on 10 March, to publicly debrief with the three winners who will present the first stages of their work to the public present.
