Wallimage is hiring a Financial Analyst / Investment Manager

Wallimage SA is the Walloon economic fund for audiovisual, gaming and digital creativity. It aims to develop and perpetuate this ecosystem in Wallonia. It operates through 4 departments and is currently looking for a Financial Analyst / Investment Manager to assist the Investment Manager of the Enterprise Department, which finances companies through equity investments, loans, conditionally repayable advances or a combination of these mechanisms.

Mission

You process financing applications submitted to the fund by companies active in the sectors supported, and you manage and develop, notably through prospecting, a portfolio of companies in which Wallimage Entreprises invests in the form of equity stakes or loans.

You will work under the supervision of the department manager.

Your primary responsibilities are as follows:

  • You analyze and criticize companies’ requests for equity investments or loans;
  • You write and present, for the attention of Management, the report summarizing your analysis and proposing the decision to be financed by Wallimage Entreprises;
  • You implement and monitor investment decisions in participating companies. You prepare loan agreements and negotiate shareholder agreements;
  • You represent Wallimage Entreprises in the management bodies of the participating companies;
  • You provide support to these companies within the scope of your skills (advice on financial monitoring, etc.);
  • You initiate relevant contacts between partner companies and develop networking in the relevant sectors;
  • You represent the fund at various national and, occasionally, international events;
  • As part of the video game support line, you are a member of the analysis committee, and take part in meetings with project developers to defend their projects.

Profile

We’re looking for the right person for this diverse and responsible role.

We are therefore open to two types of profiles:

  • Either you have at least 5 years’ experience as a financial analyst
  • You’re either a recent graduate with a real desire to learn, a willingness to invest and a proactive attitude.

In all cases :

  • You have completed a Master’s-level course (economics, management science, etc.) and you have a main or supplementary diploma with a financial orientation;
  • You are familiar with financial analysis tools (balance sheet analysis, business plan, etc.);
  • You have a good analytical mind and are able to write clear and precise notes;
  • You are assertive, diplomatic, persuasive, proactive and your communication skills are well proven;
  • You can manage projects independently while working as part of a team;
  • You are a good listener, rigorous and a critical thinker;
  • You are able to demonstrate a multidisciplinary approach;
  • You have a taste for work well done;
  • You juggle with the Office suite.

Fluency in English and a keen interest in the sectors covered by the fund are obviously real assets.
