WFX becomes Mikros image Liège

  • 07.02.2011

Created in 2008, WFX is currently located at the Pôle Image de Liège. Since its creation, the company has already made a lot of noise, working on some major productions, such as the recent production of nearly 400 plans for the new Largo Winch.

As you know, WFX was not born yesterday, since it is in fact the Walloon branch of the French company Mikros (170 permanent employees and more than 70 freelancers) which, since 2007, belongs to the Italian group Mediacontech. Mikros covers all areas of post-production: advertising, film, TV, music videos, video games and corporate communication.

In a legitimate concern for group coherence, Maurice Prost, Chairman and CEO, and Gilles Gaillard, General Manager of Mikros image, have just announced that WFX will henceforth be called Mikros image Liège and will inherit a cousin, also established on Belgian soil, Mikros image Brussels. The mission of this new branch, which already has six permanent employees, is to offer its services (special effects or digital laboratory) to the advertising market. This will intensify the group’s presence in the Benelux since the group has also been present in Luxembourg since 2009 with LFX.
