Spirou is a young adventurer, red-haired, in his twenties, always wearing a red jacket and pants. Man of conviction, courageous, he has for friend the small squirrel Spip, the Count of Champignac and especially Fantasio, his friend of childhood.
These two are inseparable and this in spite of the sometimes impossible character of Fantasio. Older, this last one indeed grumbles all the time, likes to complain. But, in spite of all these little flaws, Fantasio often turns out to be a good man, loyal and faithful in friendship and especially ready to help his friend Spirou. His role as a journalist-photographer sometimes leads him to look for the scoop for the scoop’s sake and there, hello damage!
With the Count of Champignac, our two heroes travel the world, solving mysteries that threaten the tranquility of the planet. They often meet on their way, the manipulator Zantafio, Fantasio’s demonic cousin and the terrible Zorglub, a real megalomaniac, madly in love with the Earth and its inhabitants.
