The other

Claire is pregnant with twins. This situation makes him anxious. To help his wife, Pierre agrees to have a pregnancy reduction to keep only one embryo. But gnawed by remorse, he turns away from her and the unborn child.
Pierre then transfers all his affection to Laurent, a twenty year old handicapped man who visits his ophthalmology practice. The personality of Laurent will upset the couple in disarray. Little by little, Claire and Pierre rediscover their ability to love and finally manage to assume the heavy decision they had taken together.

Much awaited, the second feature film of Benoît Mariage from Namur offers a profile quite different from his previous film. The Other (ex-LaPart Manquante ) is nevertheless, like Les Convoyeurs Attendent, strongly anchored in the region, both in terms of the shooting, which takes place entirely in Wallonia, and in terms of the technical team, the actors and the script.

Like Les Convoyeurs, the film is presented by its producer, Dominique Janne through his production company Mars Entertainment, now domiciled in Wallonia and promising other production activities in the region, such as the first feature directed by Benoît Poelvoorde. This financially strong project benefits from a new collaboration with the seller TF1 International guaranteeing the film a good exposure in festivals and, therefore, excellent forecasts in terms of sales.
