– Wallons métrages will showcase Walloon artistic creativity on television and in cinemas. On the big screen, this will mean eight previews of La Véritable Histoire du Chat Botté, the latest jewel in the Walloon production crown. Tickets can be won HERE . On RTBF, a special edition of l’Envers de l’Écran will celebrate the 20th anniversary of his Maître de Musique with Gérard Corbiau.
– Ca s’est tourné près de chez vous will take you to the shooting locations of films produced or co-produced in Wallonia. For the occasion, some rarely visited sites will be accessible in over a hundred locations. For example, you can see for yourself the courtyard of the Château de Hergenrath in the Province of Liège, where Les enfants de Timpelbach and the Château de la Hulpe were filmed, or the auditorium of the Château de Chimay, where a large part of Le Maître de Musique was filmed.
– Wallywood, orchestrated by Cluster Twist, will focus the spotlight on ten internationally renowned Walloon companies, who will exceptionally open their doors to reveal what goes on behind the scenes. A journey that takes us fromHoverlorD to CoToon, via Les Dames and Digital Graphics.
– This festive long weekend will also mark the first edition of Wallon ce Héros, a grand evening reserved for professionals in the profession! In the splendid setting of the Sauvenière cinema in Liège, this event will be a unique opportunity to get together with the people who make Walloon cinema. For the occasion, Wallimage will be reviving the Grands Prix des Meilleurs Techniciens Wallons! A prize will also be awarded to the most promising young director in the form of services in participating audiovisual companies, for the production of a short film, and participation in the (famous) Clermont-Ferrand festival. The prize, which will become an annual event, will be named the Prix Rémy Belvaux in honor of the author of C’est arrivé près de chez vous.
No large-scale operation worthy of the name can do without a renowned sponsor. Marie Gillain has accepted this responsibility. A symbolic choice for a region that is not lacking in charm, talent or simplicity either…
See you on February 27 and 28, and March 1 in theatres or outdoors. But always in Wallonia.
