The news has just been released : two films stamped Wallimage will open and close the Mons International Film Festival.
The Good Wife will be screened on Friday, March 6, 8:00 pm at the Théâtre Royal de Mons in the presence of director Martin Provost and actresses Yolande Moreau, Marie Zabukovec, Lily Taïeb and Anamaria Vartolomei.
Friday, March 13, Jumbo by Zoé Wittock, which was presented at the American Sundance Festival and will be screened at the Berlin Festival, will close the festivities.
These announcements are an opportunity to look at the upcoming theatrical releases of films co-financed by the Walloon fund
While many producers are waiting impatiently to see if the Cannes Film Festival is likely to select their films, others have decided to unleash the beasts in theaters without waiting for a hypothetical selection.
Some don’t have the profile, some have already been shown in festivals and are therefore no longer eligible, and some have just decided to do without the festival’s sounding board.
Ten feature films co-financed by Wallimage will be released on French screens by April 8th. For some of them, the Belgian releases are also confirmed. For others, not yet. Conveyors and moviegoers are waiting…
